Jet Walker’s first flights in the voiceover industry began with professional voiceover training at the age of nine. Within a year she was reading for top film companies and television networks: Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation and Cartoon Network. Fast forward to today with her worldwide credit as lead character voice in the animated series "Droners" (Cyber Group Studio). At the 2021 Society of Voice Arts Awards ceremonies Jet garnered two nominations for her voiceover work: Outstanding Animation Character TV/Web and Outstanding Promo TV/Web.

 

Jet is known for her unique vocal texture, directability, and versatility - she characterizes roles ranging from a fiery boy, an elegant princess, a friendly ghost, a take-charge tomboy. Her directors, without exception, love the extra ‘it factor’ she brings to the mic as much as they love her ability to respond precisely to their explicit direction.

 

At the age of fourteen Jet soared into national network voiceover. When NBC Universal Television announced its Universal Kids TV channel in association with PBS and DreamWorks Television, they set out to cast the voice of the network. Hundreds of auditions later, they selected Jet Walker. Only thirteen at the time, Jet voiced the network launch, all ID’S, promos, In-show voices, bumpers, sponsor tags and billboards, airline in-channel programming and the Universal Kids YouTube channel. Jet's work on over 100 hours of programming resulted In her becoming the youngest winner ever for the 2018 Society of Voice Arts and Science Award for Outstanding Promo – Best Voiceover.

 

Jet continues to train hard with her mentor and coach, Debi Derryberry (voice of Jimmy Neutron and dozens of other animated roles); Says Debi: “When you combine strong, rich pipes with great acting abilities, you get Jet Walker.”

 

Talent Agency head and Video Game Producer Alyssa Gentile has watched Jet grow into her talent. Alyssa signed her as a kid, guided and nurtured her for years as she grew from a child actor to a voiceover veteran while still a teen. Alyssa states, “Jet’s voice texture is so unique, and that’s what initially drew me to her. She has the voice tone and the talent chops to read for non-binary characters; from girls to boys, to dragons to frogs, to princes and princesses. It doesn’t matter what type of role we send to Jet; she always accepts the challenge and delivers competitive reads.”

"The Earth Keepers Mission" audiobook series. Jet voices several roles, girls, horses, a spider, even a tiny plant.

Co-hosts a podcast with Mike Dowler at Conversations Radio Podcasts, Interviewing other young entertainment professionals both in voiceover and on-camera in television and film to talk about all things voiceover and acting.

 

Jet completed her first children’s illustrated storybook “I Want to Fly” that she began writing while in middle school with the hopes of becoming a published writer.

 

Besides her love of voiceover, she is an accomplished guitarist and sax player!. She was awarded the Chaminade College Preparatory High School, Leonard Bernstein Musicianship Award and became the school's first-ever student associate conductor of the jazz band. She served as Drum Major in her school’s Eagle Regiment Marching Band; and is an active member of the LA Jazz Society.

 

Jet is a volunteer organizer for the New Friends Homeless Center in LA, raising awareness and seeking donations for their meal sponsorship programs and the collection of blankets, tents and hygiene kits year-round.

 

Jet’s goal is to continue to fulfill her dreams in the voiceover business and in music, as she continues to train with the biggest in the business
